History
Cimarron Middle School opened its doors in 1981. It has since grown to house over 840 middle school students. In 1994 we were awarded Blue Ribbon School status from the U.S. Department of Education. In 2003 the school added a brand new full-size gymnasium. The summer of 2004 involved a complete remodel on almost the entire school on the inside, resulting in a marvelous up-to-date structure for the school year 2004-2005. The CPTO completed our grounds beautification in 2007-2008. In 2019 we completed the addition of a new Media Center, conference room, and STEM Labs which serve as a tornado shelter for our students and staff.
Currently, Cimarron administrators, faculty, and staff are still working tirelessly for our students. We are focused on improving our practice as educators and setting the example for our students and community on what a life-long learner is supposed to be.
